The OnlyFans star, 25, was detained in their luxury Miami high-rise for'stabbing partner, 27, to death during a domestic dispute': The model is now in a psychiatric facility after making suicidal threats.
After stabbing her lover in an apparent domestic fight, a Florida OnlyFans model was arrested for his murder.
Courtney Clenney, 25, also known as Courtney Tailor on the subscription service, stabbed her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, in the shoulder during a struggle at their Miami condo on Sunday, according to authorities.
Obumseli, 27, was taken to a local hospital and died as a result of his injuries.
The influencer was hospitalized for mental health concerns after making suicidal threats while in police custody, according to authorities. She has not been formally charged in her boyfriend's murder.
Her current health status is unclear.
Clenney, whose neighbor claims Obumseli abused her, is being investigated to see if he acted in self-defense.
Over the last three months, Miami police have responded to many domestic disturbance complaints at the couple's condo.
Obumseli allegedly struck Clenney approximately a week before the fatal stabbing, according to a neighbor who claims to have a direct view of the couple's flat.
'I couldn't tell if he was swinging open-handed or closed-handed at her,' the anonymous resident told WPLG.
A trio of close friends of the pair, however, claimed that the social media model was the violent one in the 'rocky relationship.'
'We've seen her smack him in the face.' Ashley Vaughn said, "I've never seen him strike her."
'Based on our personal experiences with both of them, we feel Christian would never place her in a position where she would have to stab him to defend herself.'
'We didn't believe it would have gone this far,' Tahki Banks said. 'Even though we truly just lost Christian, it feels like we also lost Courtney.'
Clenney, who has over two million Instagram followers, was hospitalized on Sunday as a result of the Baker Act in Florida.
If certain aggressive or suicidal tendencies are demonstrated, the legislation permits law enforcement, courts, doctors, and mental health experts to commit a person to a treatment center for 72 hours.
It's unknown when or if she'll be discharged from the hospital. The day after she was arrested, however, new content was published to her OnlyFans page.
While precise specifics of their relationship are unknown, it appears that the couple has been together for a long time.
Clenney and Obumseli, according to their pals, moved to Miami from Texas a few years ago. The group, who apparently dined, traveled, and interacted with the couple on a regular basis, claimed they are devastated by the scenario.
Josh Ramsey told WTVJ, 'He was just incredibly high-energy, bright, intellectual, and would bring a grin to anyone.' 'These are our two friends,' Ramsey told WTVJ. 'We've gone on vacation with them, we've gone to meals with them, we've gone out on the town with them, and it's like something out of a crime documentary.'
'We had no idea it would get to this degree,' says the author. I believe I speak for our entire friend circle when I say that we are all astonished. 'I'm quite upset about this,' he continued.
More than $65,000 has been raised for Obumseli's family through a GoFundMe site.
Obumseli was assassinated a week before his 28th birthday, according to the account creator, leaving'many unresolved issues and creating a gap that will never be healed or filled.'
'Someone's egotistical conduct tore Christian from this planet. We are absolutely crushed,' his loved ones wrote. "It is not enough to say we are surprised and hurting - we are utterly devastated."
'Christian was a deeply compassionate person who was always looking for ways to improve the lives of those around him. He did not deserve to have his life taken away by a senseless act of violence. We'll never forget his contagious smile, which could brighten any room, or his compassionate nature.'
